Notes on car:

Diesel in excellent condition! I saw this car advertised in the local classifieds and was able to purchase at a fair price. Of course, the check engine light was on, but after replacing the EGR valve, the problem was corrected. However, it was only getting 34 mpg. After much testing with a scan tool, I finally tried a replacement MAF sensor. Instant sucess! It runs great and got 43 mpg on a test trip at 75 mph or so.

Car has had two owners who have performed all maintenance according to schedule. The first owner was located in Tucker, GA and the second was in Kuttawa, KY. Car had a weak battery (original battery), so a new battery (of proper size) was installed. Car had received a new timing belt at 121,000 miles. We performed routine service which included oil, oil filter, flush brake fluid, etc. Interior and exterior is clean. Tires are in excellent condition.

At auction, these diesel cars typically go for $2,000 to $4,000 more than wholesale book value, so this is a bargain.  Vee Dub Motors was established just over a year ago. In getting a car ready to sell, we use an inspection sheet that includes everything that we can think of that might need repair. If we don't repair it, we will tell you what is wrong. Then we test the car for at least a week of daily driving. This often reveals hidden problems. For example, on this car, the battery indicated proper voltage and the car started fine, but on cold mornings, it seemed a little anemic. It turned out that the battery had absolutely no reserve capacity. Diesels require plenty of cranking power. Using this check list, we are confident that you will have no problems.
