Volkswagen of America, Inc. publishes a series of technical bulletins on their cars.  They are intended for use by the service technicians who work on your car at the VW dealer.  However, they can also be very useful to owners in helping the VW dealer identify the problems related to your specific car.

The bulletins can be ordered from VW as a subscription or from companies like ALLDATA  at www.alldata.com and www.alldataDIY.com.   Individual bulletins can be ordered or subscription services are available.

A free index of bulletins is available from Volkswagen of America, Inc., c/o Dyment Distribution Services, 20770 Westwood Drive, Strongsville, OH 44136 or phone (800)-544-8021. The bulletins themselves can be ordered for $4.00 for the first and $2.00 for each additional bulletin. There is also a shipping and handling charge. The subscription for all bulletins on all models is $40.00 per year.  The web site for Dyment Distribution is www.vw.ddsltd.com.
